Choke selection is one of the most overlooked variables in dove hunting — and one of the most fixable. Most North Alabama dove hunters are running whatever choke happened to be in the gun when they pulled it out of the safe, often a Modified or Full left over from turkey season. Both are wrong for the majority of dove shots.
